The largest city of Istra peninsula dates has existed for three thousand years and is situated in the south of the Istrian peninsula.  Just like the “Eternal City”, Pula is situated on seven hills. There many arches dedicated to emperors, various remains of ancient establishments (places, houses…) and a large amphitheater (arena) about two thousand years old which many consider to be the best preserved and most beautiful arena in the world. The city-museum will present you with its buildings and monuments preserved from bygone times: the Arch of the Sergi, Temple of Augustus, Hercules door… Besides all that ancient glory, in this small town the Austrians built a powerful naval base and Pula was once a city of soldiers and sailors. The view of the Pula region is framed by the Brijuni National Park, a gem in Istria’s natural heritage.
