Montenegro – country of amazing natural resources
Did You know that 10% of total surface of Montenegro is under the National Parks. National Park Durmitor with the Tara canyon is on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1980. River Tara has the status of Biosphere Reserve since 1977, also is deepest canyon in Europe – and for those who are looking for adventure is a real challenge. Skadar Lake National Park has status as a major ornithological areas since 1989, and in 1995 was inscribed on the List of Wetlands of International Importance. Skadar Lake is the largest freshwater lake in the Balkan peninsula where you can take pictures of the most beautiful panoramas in Montenegro. National Park Skadar Lake is one of the largest bird reserves in Europe, with 270 bird species, including some of the last pelicans in Europe, and is very attracted to birdwatchers. Rare species – Dalmatian pelican – become a trademark of the National Park Skadar Lake.
