Knights’ game that is held the third weekend in August, and which has become the trademark of Barban and one of the most popular summer events in Istria which gathers, each year, so many visitors and guests. At a certain time, horsemen must pass certain path dressed in full Istrian costume and with the spear need to hit the ring. The race is taking place in three times, and the winner is the one who have the fastest time and has the most points. When the rider hits the nail on, one of the locals piped „roznice“ on the traditional way.
This race is old more than 300 years. It’s nice to see how the inhabitants kept their traditions and enjoy a game like this, after so many years existence.
