In Britain, for example, slavery was abolished only in 1833 and in the USA in 1865.

Croatians love to sing with a glass of wine and entertain their guests. Klapa singing is traditional Croatian vocal music originating from the south of Croatia (Dalmatia), mostly from coastal and island regions. UNESCO recognized this value and protected Dalmatian Klapa singing.
Pens are used all around the world, but many people do not know that Croatian Slavoljub Penkala was the inventor of the mechanical pencil. But he is not the only famous inventor from Croatia. Not many words are needed to introduce Nikola Tesla who was born in a small village Smiljan. Make sure you visit his house that is made into a museum when discovering Croatia.
